Pervez Asalam is a founder member of the Ashram. Aged about 30, he looked after the office in the beginning years. He has been with the Lokavidya movement since 2002 helping to bring out Lokavidya Samvad. Coming from a poor peasant family he looks after agriculture at home in a village about 30 km. from Sarnath. In the same area he promotes building of Gyan Mukti Manch among artisans and youth.
